New Episode Schedule for Fall 2018

Things are settling down a bit here in Saint Louis. I’m acclimating to my new surroundings, new job and actual weather, which I hadn’t seen much of in 5 years living in Los Angeles.

It’s been a busy and crazy year but here we are with a new regular schedule for episodes.

Going forward, we’ll be airing twice a month on the 2nd and 4th Fridays.

If you’re currently a Patreon supporter, THANK YOU. You may have noticed your early access to Episode 070 - a label feature showcasing some really strong work from Omaha label Neologist Productions. If you’re not a Patreon supporter, you’ll have to wait until Friday..

As always, thanks for listening.

Norelco Mori on Patreon

Norelco Mori is now on Patreon.

If you like the show and work I put in to each episode, why not show your support with a small recurring contribution? Patreon is an easy way to help support the the people who create the work you love. You can show your support for as little as a dollar per episode.

I've been putting this show together for about 4 years now. During this time, I've had the pleasure of receiving hundreds of cassettes from all across the world, meeting and connecting with labels and artists I might not have ever had the opportunity to cross paths with. I've also been privy to a lot of music I might not have ever heard if it wasn't for this show.

Producing an episode of Norelco Mori is a considerable amount of work. But, it’s not about me. Support for Norelco Mori not only gives you, the listener, an opportunity to discover more more new music, it also gives artists worldwide the chance to reach more listeners. And context is key in all this. Anyone can release music these days. It’s been that way for a while. But with streaming taking a big bite out of downloads and algorithm-based playlisting becoming the norm it’s hard to discover new music that isn’t existing simply to penetrate the mainstream.

62 episodes in and I feel like we’re just getting started.

Curation takes time. Your support gives me time the time necessary to produce new episodes and provide a platform for experimental artists worldwide. With your help, we can continue to foster creativity and provide an stable outlet for experimental music.

Your support means the world to me.

Win a KORG Monologue from Norelco Mori (UPDATED)

You could be our next unlucky listener and the proud owner of a brand new KORG Monologue.

If you don't know, the Monologue is an analog-voiced monophonic synthesizer with a 16 step sequencer, unique wave folding capabilities, custom scales and presets created by Aphex Twin. These are a lot of fun, hugely versatile and I use one myself.

For your chance to win, donate $6.66 (per entry, no limit) to Norelco Mori via the Donate page or via PayPal (to norelcomori@icloud.com). Multiple entries mean better odds - enter as many times as you'd like. 1 grand prize winner will be selected at random to win a black Monologue. In addition, 2 runners up will be chosen to receive a t-shirt and a tape. Winners will be announced on an upcoming episode of the show.

Enter the contest.

Each entry helps pay for things like monthly hosting costs, new music and general "keeping the lights on" expenses. Best of all, it helps support your ad-free listening experience on the show.

This one's mine. Winner will receive a brand new, sealed package...

Congratulations to our Unlucky Listeners. Nicoli Vargas is taking home a KORG Monologue, Richard Laverde and Yuri Yamaguchi are both getting Norelco Mori t-shirts.
